Anthropic adds always-on agent abilities to Claude
Anthropic has quietly added always-on AI agent features to its Claude assistant, letting it handle ongoing or scheduled tasks even after users log off. The feature, first known as Cowork, is now integrated directly into Claude without much fanfare or mascot branding. This brings Claude into competition with OpenAI's Dots and Meta's Muse, both of which offer similar persistent agent capabilities.
- Claude now manages tasks after users disconnect
- Always-on agents are a current trend among major AI labs
- Cowork features merged into the main Claude app
- Rivals OpenAI and Meta have been launching similar AI agents recently
