Anthropic launches Sonnet 5.5, a faster, cheaper AI model
Anthropic released Sonnet 5.5, its newest AI model focused on speed and lower costs. Sonnet 5.5 performs better at routine tasks, coding, and creating documents than its predecessor and is half the price of Anthropic’s recently launched flagship model, Opus 5.5. Anthropic says it improved cybersecurity features and efficiency, allowing Sonnet 5.5 to complete jobs with fewer tokens, making it cheaper to use.
