Google Gemini adds reusable 'skills' to automate tasks
Google is rolling out 'skills' to Gemini, its AI assistant, letting you save and reuse custom instructions for repetitive tasks. The new feature works by typing a slash and the skill's name, and can combine multiple skills or attach reference files like PDFs or images. Skills will replace the older Gems feature, with automatic migration planned. The update is live globally for Gemini chat, and coming soon to Workspace customers.
