Moonshot AI considers dual IPOs in Hong Kong and Shanghai

Chinese AI startup Moonshot is weighing public offerings on both the Hong Kong and Shanghai stock exchanges, according to two people familiar. The move follows discussions with investors about first going public in Hong Kong and then on Shanghai’s Star Market, as the company chases more capital and visibility. The Hong Kong IPO could come as soon as early 2027. It hasn’t announced anything publicly yet.

Why it mattersIf Moonshot pulls this off, it’d be one of the largest dual listings by a Chinese AI startup so far. Going public in both markets could help it sidestep weak demand for AI stocks in Hong Kong and tap more investors.
