OpenAI met with utilities to discuss AI grid security
Sam Altman and other OpenAI leaders have met with major U.S. electric utility executives to discuss protecting the electrical grid from cyberattacks. The meetings, confirmed by OpenAI and industry sources, included a recent session at the Edison Electric Institute's conference. Altman offered OpenAI's own Daybreak cybersecurity services as a possible solution, as concerns grow after recent AI-driven cyberattacks on critical infrastructure.

OpenAI rolls out GPT-6 Astra to most paying users
OpenAI has made its new GPT-6 Astra model available to most paying subscribers a day after its official launch.
