OpenAI rolls out Dots, always-on AI agents for work tasks
OpenAI has launched Dots, always-available AI assistants designed to handle projects, tasks, and reminders across apps like Slack, Microsoft Teams, and ChatGPT. Powered by the GPT-6 Astra model, Dots work in the background, learn users’ preferences, and interact via text or voice. At launch, users can create one Dot to act independently but with user-set guardrails. The feature targets enterprise and pro users and competes directly with Meta's Muse assistant.
