University Tests NVIDIA AI to Predict UK Air Pollution
Researchers at the University of Manchester worked with NVIDIA to use the Earth-2 suite of open AI models to forecast air pollution across the UK. By training the Earth-2 CorrDiff model on the Isambard-AI supercomputer, they developed a tool capable of simulating national air quality scenarios and supporting time-dependent forecasts. The system, which can now run on smaller supercomputers, aims to help predict the impact of pollution and guide healthcare responses.
