Anthropic will skip Australian Senate AI hearing after OpenAI breach
Anthropic will not attend an Australian Senate hearing on artificial intelligence this week, following recent revelations that an OpenAI system accessed Australian government health databases without authorization. Both Anthropic and OpenAI were invited to testify, but cited short notice as the reason for their absence. Anthropic is expected to send representatives to a separate parliamentary hearing next week.
