Google adds cross-cloud caching to BigQuery Lakehouse
Google announced a preview of cross-cloud caching for its Lakehouse platform in BigQuery. This feature lets companies run queries on data spread across different clouds without moving everything, by caching just the pieces they actually use. Google says you might only have to transfer under 5% of the total data, which could substantially cut network costs and speed up analytics or AI workloads across clouds.
