Nuvacore unveils ISA-agnostic CPU design strategy

Nuvacore, a CPU startup led by veterans from Apple and Qualcomm, is developing a new chip called WarpCore using a rare “core first” strategy. Instead of choosing a processor instruction set like Arm, x86, or RISC-V at the start, the team focuses on designing core components first and will decide the instruction set later. This gives them more flexibility to maximize performance, energy efficiency, and scalability for things like data centers and AI workloads.
