BigCommerce reports data breach in supply chain attack
BigCommerce says attackers used stolen third-party app credentials to access sensitive customer data for some merchant storefronts. At least one merchant, Master of Malt, notified customers their names, emails, phone numbers, and addresses had been exposed between September 13 and September 17, 2026. The Information Commissioner’s Office has been notified. BigCommerce removed the compromised app and alerted the affected merchants.

Security startup Hacktron exploits vulnerability in OpenAI forum

On September 15, Microsoft seized 50 EvilTokens-operated websites and disabled more than 175 related domains. Authorities have arrested two suspects in London accused of fraud and money laundering linked to the platform. At least $1.7 million in losses are tied to EvilTokens.
