Denuvo reportedly halts common game crack method
A commonly used hypervisor-based method to bypass Denuvo's anti-piracy protection reportedly failed to work on the newly released Star Wars: Galactic Racer. The workaround, previously attributed to cracks in over 60 games, has not succeeded since the game's October 6 launch. Neither Denuvo's developer nor the publisher has confirmed the technical changes. Publishers rely on Denuvo to postpone piracy during early sales windows.
- Long-used hypervisor crack does not work on new Denuvo game
- No successful bypass days after Star Wars: Galactic Racer launch
- Method credited with cracks in over 60 earlier games
- Denuvo's developer has yet to confirm the technical update
