Report finds AI cybersecurity unpreparedness in enterprise
An October PwC survey of over 3,900 business and tech leaders in 71 countries found that half of security leaders see protecting AI as their biggest cybersecurity gap, outpacing concerns like cloud threats and ransomware. Less than a third say CIOs or CTOs are accountable for AI, with just a quarter having a dedicated AI executive. Experts warn that companies are deploying AI faster than they establish protections or clear governance.

- Under 30% of AI accountability sits with tech leadership
- Only 25% of firms have a dedicated AI executive
