CFOs rethink finance roles with new data and AI demands
At the Workiva Amplify 2026 conference, CFOs shared how tech is changing their jobs. Leaders from Cigna, Workiva, and Northwest Bank said they're now heavily involved in generative AI, data management, and enterprise systems—areas traditionally owned by IT. They stressed that making fast, informed decisions with partial data, along with strong data integrity and collaboration across teams, is now central to the finance role.
