Microsoft releases Windows 11 2026 Update with few visible changes
Microsoft is now rolling out the Windows 11 2026 Update, known as 26H2. If you’re already on recent versions like 24H2 or 25H2, this update will feel almost like a standard monthly patch—most features arrived earlier through routine updates. The 26H2 release mainly activates features already on your device, resets the support cycle, and takes only minutes to install. There are virtually no exclusive new features in this release.
- 26H2 arrives as a lightweight enablement package
- Builds on the same base as 24H2 and 25H2
- Most new features already installed via earlier updates
- Update resets the Windows support lifecycle
- Devices on 26H1 can’t move directly to 26H2
