Red Hat adds new RHEL system roles
Red Hat has expanded its Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) system roles lineup, adding ready-made tools for file integrity monitoring, privileged access controls, clustered filesystems, bootloader configuration, and snapshot creation. These roles automate complex system setup tasks through a single, simplified interface. Additional automation tools for auditing and confidential computing are in development and expected in future RHEL releases.

BNP Paribas Fortis launches AI Center with generative tools
BNP Paribas Fortis has launched an AI Center of Excellence to help its 11,000 employees use generative AI, according to chief data scientist Manuel Piette. The bank's platform relies on Domino data tools and technology from Mistral to improve data management, customer experience, productivity, and fraud prevention. Training is offered to data scientists, and the initiative aims to attract new AI talent while supporting existing staff through the change.
