Red Hat details common Kubernetes network policy errors
Red Hat is warning that even experienced teams often make mistakes when setting up Kubernetes network policies, leading to unintended security risks. The company identified issues such as failing to implement default-deny policies and overlooking egress controls, which allowed test scenarios where rogue pods could access sensitive resources. Red Hat adds NVIDIA BlueField to OpenShift

SAP addresses critical security flaw in core software
SAP has released a patch for a maximum severity vulnerability, tracked as CVE-2026-44756, affecting the SAP kernel. Security researchers at Onapsis say over 10,000 internet-exposed SAP systems could be at risk. The flaw allows unauthenticated attackers to send crafted network requests that could let them execute arbitrary operating system commands with administrative privileges. There are currently no reports of active exploitation, but experts recommend immediate patching.
Google Data Cloud adds new AI and analytics tools
Google just launched several new features for its Data Cloud. BigQuery now supports stateful processing in streaming queries, letting you do things like rolling averages in real time (currently in preview). There’s also a ready-to-use synthetic data generator for Managed Kafka, now generally available. And Lakehouse managed tables for Apache Iceberg are in preview, promising easier data management and cross-tool compatibility. Updates to Dataflow pipelines are also rolling out.
