Calian and Invest Ottawa to launch Northstar Defence Lab
Calian and Invest Ottawa are teaming up to open the Northstar Defence Lab at Ottawa's Area X.O test complex. This new facility aims to help different defence technologies work together, connecting everything from sensors to AI and cybersecurity through Calian’s Athora platform. The lab, supported by a group of Canadian defence firms and Export Development Canada, should be up and running early next year and marks the first in a planned series of regional labs.
