EVgo unveils 750kW ultra-fast EV charging system for 2027
EVgo plans to launch a 750-kilowatt EV charging system in 2027, promising recharge times as low as 10 minutes for compatible future electric vehicles. The stations will use Tesla's North American Charging Standard and feature dynamic power sharing, simpler payment, and improved reliability. Today’s EVs won’t reach that top speed, but several automakers are working on compatible models. EVgo operates over 1,200 fast-charging sites in the US.
- 750kW charging—twice today's fastest public stations
- Compatible cars could recharge in 10 minutes
- North American Charging Standard, no adapter needed
- Dynamic power sharing for faster multi-car charging
- Launch planned for 2027 across EVgo's US network
