NASA awards $23.5M to Omitron for orbital safety analysis
NASA signed a five-year, $23.5 million contract with Omitron Inc. to handle orbital safety analysis. That means tracking potential collisions for all NASA unmanned spacecraft, helping safeguard astronaut missions, and supporting NOAA’s space satellite programs. The work will be split between several NASA facilities and Omitron’s own offices in Maryland. This is about keeping NASA’s space hardware—and people—out of harm’s way above Earth.
