Custom gold mini PC costs $1.7 million, weighs 29 pounds
A luxury version of the Kubb Fanless mini PC has been built to order using 13 kilograms (about 29 pounds) of pure 24-carat gold for its chassis. The custom system weighs more than six times the standard aluminum version and cost its buyer roughly $1.7 million. Besides being extravagant, the gold improves passive heat transfer by up to 50% over aluminum. This is a bespoke one-off commission, not a product for general sale.
