Google Maps now shows real-time UK fuel prices

You can now see real-time fuel prices for petrol and diesel at nearby stations in the UK using Google Maps and Waze. This uses data from the UK's Fuel Finder scheme, which requires forecourts to update prices within 30 minutes of any change. Google says it will only display prices it trusts are accurate, after concerns some stations haven’t updated promptly. Apple Maps still doesn’t show fuel prices.

• Feature relies on government-mandated Fuel Finder data
• Prices update within 30 minutes of changes
• Google double checks for outdated price reports
• Apple Maps lacks this fuel pricing feature
• Some stations may still miss price update deadlines
