Micro Center makes RTX 5090 buyers sign no-export form
Micro Center is now requiring some customers buying NVIDIA's RTX 5090 graphics cards to show photo ID and sign a no-export declaration. Buyers at the retailer’s Tustin, California store were asked to certify they wouldn’t export or resell the card to anyone intending to ship it abroad. The move—recently implemented—appears linked to US export controls and high demand, but Micro Center hasn’t said if this is a nationwide policy or a local experiment.
- Buyers required to show photo ID and sign form
- Form bans resale or export outside the US
- Policy triggered by export controls and demand
- Unclear if this applies at all Micro Center stores
