Mecka AI raises $60 million to expand robot training data
Mecka AI, a startup creating real-world data to help robots learn, just secured $60 million in funding. Sequoia led the investment, joined by Nvidia, Microsoft’s M12, Qualcomm, Samsung, and others. Mecka gathers videos of people doing everyday tasks using body sensors and smartphones, then turns that into training material for humanoid robots. The company says it hit a $100 million revenue run-rate in June, with plans to triple that by year-end.
