Sofinnova closes €82M fund to create new medtech startups
Sofinnova Partners, a European venture capital group focused on life sciences, finished raising €82 million for its latest medtech fund, Sofinnova MD Start IV. The fund was oversubscribed and will back six to eight new medical technology startups in Europe and the US, providing both funding and hands-on support from founding onward. Sofinnova’s previous MD Start fund created companies later acquired for hundreds of millions.
