Anthropic asks users to share voice data for AI training
Anthropic is now asking users of its Claude AI assistant if they'd like to let the company use their voice conversations to train its models. The prompt shows up when you use a voice feature, and participation is entirely optional—there's a switch in privacy settings, and it's off by default. You can also delete your voice data anytime. This is separate from Anthropic's existing data training policies for text or coding chats.
- Prompt appears for Claude voice feature users
- Audio data sharing is opt-in and off by default
- Voice data toggle is separate from chat training
- Users can revoke or delete shared recordings
- Anthropic says this helps improve speech recognition
