Featherless launches open-source Simple Jev for fast AI classification

Featherless, a provider of serverless AI inference, has introduced Simple Jev, an open-source tool that converts open-source AI models into rapid, zero-shot classification engines. Instead of generating text, Simple Jev evaluates incoming data and returns straightforward categories or binary choices, cutting both response time and compute costs. The package also includes initial image support on Featherless's hosted service, but only for select models so far.
