Google launches AI-powered game creation platform Playground
Google just launched Playground, an experimental browser-based platform that lets anyone create, play, and share their own games just by describing what they want—no coding needed. You can build games using text prompts, tweak the mechanics on the fly, and publish or share your creations. Playground features multiplayer support in some genres, in-game leaderboards, and a gallery of community-made games. Every shared title is screened for safety before it's public.
- Uses AI to turn text prompts into playable games
- Works on both phones and laptops via web browser
- Community gallery highlights top-rated games
- Multiplayer and leaderboards are built in for select games
- Upcoming integration will connect Playground with Unity Spark
