Google launches local AI notetaker for Mac
Google has released AI Edge Foresight, a note-taking app for Mac that transcribes and summarizes meetings entirely on your device—no cloud needed. Using Google's new EmbeddingGemma 2 model, it works with files, calendars, and common meeting apps like Zoom. Notes, audio, and follow-up queries are handled locally, so your private data stays on your Mac. It's available now for Mac users only.
- Works on Mac only for now
- Does not send data to the cloud
- Supports major meeting platforms
- Leverages Google's EmbeddingGemma 2 model
- Processes various document formats offline
