Harness acquires Augment's coding agent software
Harness has bought Augment Code’s software—including its autonomous coding agents, command line interface, and code context retrieval engine—for an undisclosed sum. The idea: bring AI-powered coding from bug report to pull request onto Harness’s software delivery platform. Teams will be able to let AI agents automate coding tasks and learn from past failures, but the headline integration—using deployment and test history to inform code changes—hasn’t launched yet. For now, the new tools are available separately.
- Harness buys Augment Code's Cosmos and code context tech
- Deal brings autonomous coding agents to software delivery
- AI agents can address code reviews and fix failed checks
- Planned integration with deployment history not live yet
