Hugging Face open-sources AstaBrief for scientific reports
Hugging Face has released AstaBrief, an open-source AI model built to generate cited scientific reports quickly and locally. It’s available now inside the Asta platform in a new Fast mode, which delivers reports about 3.5 times faster than the previous, proprietary option. Organizations can run AstaBrief on their own systems, and the training data and workflows are open for researchers to adapt. The release aims to make reliable, citation-grounded AI report-writing more accessible for science.
