OpenAI speeds up GPT-6 Astra and Sol models
OpenAI made its GPT-6 Astra and Sol models about 50% faster, now generating around 50 tokens per second instead of 30. This is the first daily improvement in a 28-day challenge to ship a clear upgrade or reset user limits. The speed boost applies to OpenAI’s own tools and partner services. All this follows complaints about the models’ slow performance earlier in the week.
