OpenAI unveils GPT-6.1 Sol with near-Astra performance at lower cost
OpenAI just released GPT-6.1 Sol, an upgrade to GPT-6 Sol from only last week. The new model nearly matches the high-end GPT-6 Astra for things like complex coding and professional tasks, but costs about 80% less per token. It’s available now for API and ChatGPT Work users, but not in regular Chat yet. OpenAI says 6.1 Sol is more accurate and better at following user instructions, especially on tricky prompts.
