Amazon to pay Prime users up to $200 each in FTC settlement
Amazon has started sending automatic refunds of up to $200 per person to U.S. Prime subscribers under a court-ordered Federal Trade Commission settlement. The refunds cover people enrolled through disputed checkout processes or those who tried but failed to cancel between June 2019 and June 2025. Payments are part of a $1.5 billion consumer fund, with earlier caps increased from $51 to $200 following a court order. No action is needed from those eligible.
