A report from 404 Media says Border Patrol operates Predictive Intelligence Targeting Teams that analyze U.S. residents’ financial data and share their findings with local police, resulting in vehicle stops even when drivers are not suspected of specific crimes. The program, previously undisclosed, runs in at least the Spokane and Laredo Sectors. One driver was stopped in Montana and later charged, after such analysis flagged him for attention.
