At the same time, an analysis found about 15,000 companies—especially in tech—are already running ChatGPT Ads. OpenAI insists ads do not influence search answers and appear separately, but the platform’s tracking setup often lumps ad clicks with unpaid referrals, making true impact hard to untangle.
