Grindr acquires HIV telehealth firm for $250 million
Grindr is buying PurposeMed, the parent company of Freddie—the telehealth service for HIV prevention—for $250 million. The deal includes $190 million in cash, $60 million in Grindr stock, and possibly up to $70 million more if Freddie hits future targets. Grindr plans to roll Freddie into its own LGBTQ healthcare service, Woodwork, aiming for a bigger presence in health tech alongside its dating app business.
