Microsoft launches Windows update with built-in AI agents
Microsoft showed off a revamped Windows operating system designed to run AI agents directly on your PC—no constant cloud connection needed. The update centers on Copilot, an AI assistant now tightly integrated with Windows and able to handle complex tasks locally, like organizing files for your taxes. Microsoft also announced new security tools to keep AI agents in check, plus a $2,599 Surface Laptop Ultra built for AI workloads, using Nvidia’s new high-end chip.
