Microsoft still steers users to Edge outside Europe
Mozilla says Microsoft is still nudging Windows and Copilot users toward its Edge browser everywhere except where European law requires otherwise. Its report points to Windows features that override users’ selected browsers, like opening links and certain file types in Edge. Even in Europe, some Microsoft services sidestep defaults. - Mozilla says Edge is pushed outside the EEA

- File types stay defaulted to Edge after changing
- Microsoft complies fully only in regions required by law
