Shopify has bought the shop.com domain from Market America, aiming to make it easier for shoppers to find and use Shopify on the web. Neither side disclosed the price, but top domain names have fetched millions in the past. This move follows Shopify’s earlier purchase of shop.ca and comes as the company rolls out new AI-driven store design tools for merchants.
