Sony may be reviving the classic Ape Escape franchise after 16 years, according to gaming insider Nate The Hate. He suggests there's an actual project underway, though Sony hasn't confirmed anything publicly. The original developer, Japan Studio, no longer exists, and Team Asobi—which inherited most of its staff—is reportedly not involved. The studio working on the project remains unknown.
