ASML to raise prices on chip machine parts by 10%
ASML, the Dutch company making the world's most advanced chip-making machines, is raising prices on all replacement parts for its EUV and DUV equipment by 10%. Samsung and SK hynix—major memory chipmakers—have reportedly agreed to the hike, which takes effect in January 2027. The move follows record profits by those chipmakers during recent shortages, and similar price increases are spreading to other suppliers like Applied Materials and Tokyo Electron.
