China amassed 343 DUV lithography machines since 2012
Chinese chip manufacturers have imported 343 advanced immersion DUV lithography machines since 2012, according to a new report. These ArFi tools enable production of 7nm-class chips—still two generations behind the most cutting-edge tech, but a substantial capability given U.S. export controls. The purchases, mostly from Dutch supplier ASML, exclude machines installed by multinational companies operating in China.
