Imagination unveils E-Series GPU for edge AI and graphics
Imagination introduced its E-Series GPU architecture, designed to handle graphics, general compute, and AI tasks all on a single chip for edge devices. Each core delivers up to 32 trillion operations per second for AI, quadrupling the performance of the previous D-Series. The E-Series runs graphics and AI workloads simultaneously and uses a unified software stack, with the first hardware expected by late 2026.
- Announced E-Series GPU architecture for edge systems
- Handles graphics, compute, and AI on one chip
- Delivers up to 32 TOPS Int8 per core at 1GHz
- 4x the AI compute performance of previous D-Series
- First silicon expected by end of 2026
