Marvell launches six-channel CXL 3.2 memory expanders for AI
Marvell just rolled out its second-gen Structera X CXL memory expanders, built for massive AI and cloud data centers. These modules boost memory bandwidth and capacity for servers by using six DDR4/DDR5 channels—the first of their kind—letting AI models run faster and handle bigger datasets. Other upgrades include support for four connected hosts, much faster compression, toughened error correction, and post-quantum encryption. These target the memory bottleneck choking today's AI workloads.
- Six memory channels boost capacity and speed
- Four host connectivity allows memory sharing across servers
- Supports both DDR4 and DDR5 modules
- Offers advanced error correction and post-quantum encryption
