SEALSQ launches secure chip for post-quantum protection
SEALSQ just announced VaultIC409, a secure chip built to keep connected devices safe in a future where quantum computers could crack standard encryption. The chip supports new post-quantum cryptography standards, as well as existing ones, and lets manufacturers upgrade security without revamping their hardware designs. Engineering samples arrive in Q2 2027.
- Works with both post-quantum and current crypto standards
- No need to redesign existing device hardware
- Built on a platform pending EAL5+ certification
- Demo planned for Electronica 2026 trade show
- Engineering samples expected Q2 2027
