TSMC raises semiconductor market forecast to $1.7T by 2024
TSMC leadership now expects the worldwide semiconductor market to hit $1.7 trillion by the end of this year—a huge jump over previous forecasts, with over $1 trillion projected just for AI chips. That outpaces even ambitious prior targets and reflects explosive demand for chips powering data centers and advanced AI. TSMC’s own annual revenue is up more than 50% year on year, as growth in new chip designs and AI inference workloads ramps up sharply.
