Nikkei reveals breaches of employee email accounts
Japanese media group Nikkei disclosed that two employee cloud email accounts were breached in separate incidents this year. Attackers accessed a Google Workspace account in late July, exposing names and emails of over 1,600 employees and partners, and compromised a Microsoft 365 account in September, which was used to send 9,000 phishing emails. Nikkei reports it has reset passwords and did not confirm further unauthorized logins.
