Third-party vendor offers facial recognition for Flock camera data
A company called VIDIZMO is telling police they can layer facial recognition onto video from Flock license plate cameras, despite Flock’s public stance against that tech. VIDIZMO says its software lets law enforcement export Flock footage into its platform, which adds facial recognition and predictive analytics. Flock’s CEO has said the company won’t offer this directly. VIDIZMO reportedly pitched the add-on to police in Tennessee last month.
