Two ex-Air Force members sentenced for multi-million dollar cyber fraud
Two former U.S. Air Force members were sentenced to federal prison for orchestrating business email compromise and phishing scams that stole over $2 million from at least 15 organizations. Chijioke Odimegwu received more than nine years, while Harafat Mogaji got six and a half years. Both operated while stationed at Dover Air Force Base, stealing email credentials to reroute business payments and make unauthorized transactions. They were also ordered to repay nearly $1.4 million total in restitution.
